Hello Everyone

Hi everyone! I decided to start this blog as a way to keep everyone, near and far, updated on all the things going on in the life of the Webster family. Here is a little history on my family to get you started:

Matt and I met 5 years ago at a bar in Albany, we started dating shortly after and have been together ever since. After a little more than a year of dating, and a week before leaving on our vacation to Las Vegas, we found out we were pregnant with Nathan. It was a HUGE shock; once the shock wore off we were thrilled to be expecting. The pregnancy was complicated from the start and at 20 weeks we knew things were taking a turn for the worse. They told us Nathan would need to go to the NICU after he was born but his stay would probably be a short one, a couple weeks at the most. To make a long story short, he spent the first 20 weeks of his life in the NICU. The first 17 weeks were spent at one hospital then he was transfered to another hospital where he was sent home on April 1, 2008 after 3 weeks. Nathan spent the majority of his first year of life in the hospital - he had 11 surgeries before his first birthday.

Matt and I got married in Las Vegas on November 11, 2008 and 2 days later we celebrated Nathan's first birthday! In the fall of 2009 we found out we were pregnant again, another boy. In June of 2010 we welcomed Trevor to our family. Nathan loves his little brother more than I ever though he would and Trevor loves to smile at his big brother.

Nathan has changed from a once very sick little boy to a strong, healthy almost 3 year old who loves to run and jump around. He loves life and even when he is in the hospital can find things to smile at. He has taught me so much about life and what is really important. Thanks for reading and check back, I'll try to update a few times a week with what's going on with the boys!
